GE Steam Turbines for Alaoji undergo final FAT tests

Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) have begun on the two 300 megawatt steam turbines manufactured by General Electric Energy Products in Schenectady, USA for Phase 2 of Alaoji Power Plant project.

Phase 2 will double the capacity of the existing Alaoji power plant by converting the existing 504 megawatt Simple Cycle Power Plant to a 1074 megawatt Combined Cycle Power Plant.
