Rockson Engineering has commissioned the largest power generation plant in Rivers State, Nigeria. When fully complete, Omoku will export 150MW to the state grid with facilities to synchronize with the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (formerly NEPA) in addition to exporting power to neighbouring states.

Gas, which has been flared in the past, is fed from the neighbouring AGIP plant which significantly reduces pollution.

The project includes:

• 6 x 25MW Nuovo Pignone gas turbines
• Electrical control building
• 6 x 35MVA transformers
• Turbine canopy with gantry crane
• 132kV switchyard supplied by Schneider Electric of France
• Black start generators
• Fire protection system
• Gas treatment plant
• Lube oil coolers, etc
• 132kV switching facility
• Power transformers
